Outdoor Adventure Day – Year 3/4

Last Friday some children in Year 3/4 took to Overstone Scouts Centre where they took part in an Adventure Day.

The day consisted of children listening to a range of team work challenges linked to the story Kensuke’s Kingdom.  At each part of the story they had to work out how to either build a raft, build a den or make food.

With the challenges set, the children took it in turns to work out what they needed to complete that part of the story.  Turn taking was paramount as well as team building when they had to build a raft or shelter.

It was a great day out and all the children enjoyed the whole outdoor learning experience, especially when they had to roast their marshmallow’s on an open fire.
