Year 3/4 Adventure Day

Today some year 3/4 children went to Overstone Scouts for an adventure day.

The day was built around the book Kensuke’s Kingdom by Michael Morpurgo.  Part of the story was read and the children had to build a raft that would float, so there was a lot of listening skills and teamwork to complete events.

Nest another part of the story was read and they had to build a shelter, followed by fire lighting to cook, we cooked marshmallows, yum yum.

Finally the last part of the story was read out and the children had to draw a map using co-ordinates and symbols.  It was a very busy but enjoyable day.
