Year 6 Commonwealth Games Legacy Festival – Abington Park

On Friday lots or schools attended the Year 6 Commonwealth Games Legacy Festival in Abington Park.  This event allowed the children to work and be with other Year 6 children that will be  attending their new upper schools in September.

Once we arrived and settled down, we had to move and have lunch in our new groups ie: all the children attending Northampton Academy sat together, Weston Favell etc.  As part of the school games values we really had to trust and respect each other whilst teaming (teamwork) up with new people and playing in a completely different environment.

The event was very well organised and all the children made new friends and had fun.
