Our Trip To The Farm
We have had such a wonderful day at the farm.
When we arrived at the farm we met Farmer James and he explained a few golden rules before we began exploring.
All three classes took turns enjoying all the activities that farm had to offer. At different times we went on a nature walk- meeting goats, cows, geese and ponies along the way. We tried to stay out of the muddy puddles, but it was just too tempting for some!
We played on the amazing wooden playground, rode on the tractors and built sandcastles in the sand pit. One of our favourite activities was climbing aboard the bumpy barrel ride, splashing through the water and waving at friends.
Another highlight included feeding the baby lambs. Everybody had a chance to bottle feed the hungry lambs and it was fascinating to find out about how Farmer James cares for them.
Farmer James also took us on a guided tour of the farm to introduce us to the animals and their babies. We learned the names for the mummy and daddy animals and their babies and talked about what the different animals ate. The children all had the chance to stroke a chicken and a baby rabbit.
We are so proud of the children and we hope you enjoy the photographs of your child’s first school trip.
