Remember all the homework suggestions are optional. You can do as little or as much as you like. Each week’s homework mirrors the type of activities we would be covering in class. We also encourage you whenever possible to keep up with reading, handwriting practice, phonics and basic number such as counting, recognising and ordering numbers to 20. We understand parents may still be working or caring for other family members and may have limited time so please don’t feel under pressure. The most important thing is that you and your families stay safe and well. If you have any questions or if we can be of any help with home learning please do get in touch via the blog enquiries page or through tapestry, which we check on a regular basis.
We hope you have all had a good week and have been enjoying the little sun we have had. This week is all about Sharks!
Look at a picture of smiley shark. Can you write some words to describe smiley shark? Look at his teeth, nose, fins. Can you put the words into sentences? For Example: The shark has big teeth. The shark has tiny eyes and a grey fin.
Can you read the words with the sound off?
Can you write them without looking at the screen?
Understanding the World.
Sharks are very interesting and exciting animals. With an adult, do some research about Sharks.
How many different kinds of sharks are there?
What do sharks like to eat?
Where do sharks live?
How many teeth does a shark have?
Maybe you could make a fact file with pictures too.
We need to do lots of things to keep our bodies healthy. Use the links to find out more:
Now we couldn’t finish our learning about sharks without having a little dance to this:
We hope you enjoy our Shark week and we look forward to seeing all of your learning on tapestry!
