As we are now half way through this term, we thought it was a good time to remind everyone about the work that can be done at home to support your child’s learning in school. Firstly, keep looking at your Knowledge Organisers for Science and Geography and discuss the vocabulary and knowledge for each subject (if you have misplaced these, you can find a copy on the school website under ‘Curriculum’).
Secondly, we have been really impressed with some of the children’s progress with their times tables using Times Tables Rock Stars. Those who have been regularly logging on at home have become much more confident in recalling multiplication and division facts. Please see your child’s class teacher if you are unsure of how to logon.
Finally, and most importantly, keep reading! Encourage your child to read a wide range of fiction and non-fiction texts and to talk about what they have read.
Thank you for all your support. It really does make a huge difference to your child’s development.
