Well what a week we have had! Longtown 2019 is heading into its final day and the children have had an amazing time. They have caved, climbed, gorge walked and faced every challenge set them. All of the children have been a credit to the school and have done themselves proud. In the evening they have been busy working in teams to complete team games, orienteering around the centre and have visited the historic Longtown castle. We have also had a record breaking 3 birthdays this week, celebrated with 3 birthday cakes! Not only have we eaten birthday cakes this week but we have also tucked into the fantastic food cooked by Doris. A special mention goes to the apple crumble and custard that we enjoyed on Monday. Today we are looking forward to our final activities. Two groups are off climbing and two groups are gorge walking and we are really hoping for some sun shine as we have seen quite a lot of rain this week. Tonight we will be shelter building in the grounds of the centre and then will sit around the camp fire and share a hot chocolate before our journey home tomorrow.
