Football Festival Year 5/6

Spread the love

After school today a Year 5/6 Football Festival was held at Ecton Brook.

All the teams Thorplands, Standens Barn, Boothville, Blackthorn and Lings all arrived on time to the show on the road.

Some very talented players on all teams led the way during matches, showing their skills and teamwork. What was fantastic about today we had more girls playing than ever before.

With so many schools playing, it was difficult to stick to the time which meant we finished slightly later than planned.

Well done to everyone who participated today. Tomorrow is the turn for Year 3/4 to show off their talents.

Hey primary school! Kai here!…some of you will remember me 😉 Wow, it is truly amazing looking at this. I remember being right there in year 6! I played goalie and… you can ask lings about this… they were gutted when I saved their penalty! Everyone was shocked. It won us the game. And Mr Watson’s face was a picture! I felt so good about myself. After the game, our team and Sir all started chanting, “OLAYYY OLAY OLAY OLAYYYY, OLAYYYYY, OLAYYYYY !!!!” (my squeaky voice must have been highly irritating. Don’t worry, its scarily deeper now.) We were squirting our bottles everywhere! Such great fun. It is great to see the school staying strong about the sport and seeing people happy. I’m already in year 8! Time flies. I remember having my last step out the school as an Ecton Brook student. But yeah, I hope staff and students are getting on just fine! p.s, If you do read this Mr Bridge, my acting career is going amazing and I thank you so much for giving me a proper last experience with acting when it came to the school. Also, IF SHE DOESN’T EAT WITH ME, SHE DOESN’T EAT AT ALL!
