The children have been working really hard to think carefully about their vocabulary choices. Last week, they looked at feelings words and ranked them based on their intensity. This week, the children have been thinking about how feelings can be shown through actions. Here are some examples of sentences they have written in their work:

-Thomas’ skin tingled. He had spotted an enormous dinosaur bone in the muddy earth.

-Next to the huge mountain, Thomas Carr rapidly searched for old bones.

-Thomas’ heart raced like a cheetah as he slowly picked up the heavy dinosaur tooth.

-Gazing into the core of the hills, the crew started to look for vital clues laying on the ground.
